These Terms & Conditions govern your use of BrightHaven Tutoring's website and services. By booking a session or creating an account, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

BrightHaven Tutoring provides one-on-one academic tutoring and private school admissions coaching for students in Grades K–8, based in Ontario, Canada. In-person sessions are available within Toronto; students in surrounding GTA areas can book online sessions. Sessions are available from 9 AM–9 PM throughout the school year, with summer sessions also available.

2. Pricing

Payment is due at the time of or prior to each session unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept e-transfer and major credit cards.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

We understand that schedules change. Our policy is as follows:

• More than 12 hours before the session: Sessions may be cancelled for a full refund, or rescheduled at no charge, via your account page.
• Less than 12 hours before the session: Cancellations or no-shows within 12 hours of the scheduled session will be charged the full session fee and no refund will be issued. Rescheduling is not available inside the 12-hour window.
• Tutor cancellations: If we need to cancel a session, you will be notified as soon as possible and a full refund will be issued.

4. Refund Policy

Refunds are issued automatically to the original payment method when a session is cancelled more than 12 hours in advance, or when BrightHaven Tutoring cancels a session. Sessions cancelled within 12 hours of the scheduled start time, or missed without notice, are non-refundable. No refunds are issued for sessions that have already taken place.

5. Conduct & Safety

BrightHaven Tutoring is committed to providing a safe, respectful learning environment. We reserve the right to terminate a tutoring relationship if a student or parent/guardian behaves in a manner that is abusive, threatening, or disrespectful toward our tutors.

6. Liability

BrightHaven Tutoring provides educational support services and does not guarantee specific academic outcomes. We are not liable for a student's performance on any exam, application, or assessment. Our maximum liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the total fees paid for the session(s) in question.

7. Intellectual Property

All tutoring materials, practice tests, and resources provided by BrightHaven Tutoring are for the exclusive use of the enrolled student and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without written consent.

8. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

9. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
